Live Like You Were DyingDo you feel like you are stuck in a rut of meaningless activity that fills up each week? If you knew you only had one month to live, how would you change your life? In this series, inspired by the popular country song, we will look at what the Bible says about making the most of every day. You will be challenged to speak sweeter, love deeper, give forgiveness and embrace eternity.

We invite all of the kids and their families to come and hear them sing the songs they learned and to hear a special message. We averaged 85 kids each day and they had a great time; singing songs, playing games, learning Bible verses and hearing about God's love for them. We are blessed to serve God and our community in this way. Thanks everyone that came, those that helped, and most of all the kids!
Undercover GodFor several weeks this summer we are going to look at Ruth. The book of Ruth is found in the Old Testament. It is a short story filled with death, bitterness, faithfulness, and romance. The title of the series is Undercover God. In this series we will discover how God likes to work behind the scenes and in ways unseen by most of us as He blesses us, cares for us, and fulfills his purposes in our lives.

Overcoming Your FearsFear: We all have some of it. Some of us have too much. Others don't have enough. We fear the dark, the boogeyman, downsizing, rejection, and death. Fear becomes a problem when it immobilizes us and keeps us from enjoying the life God has for us. Fear hurts us when we do not step out into the future with boldness and courage. The Bible gives over twenty examples of Jesus teaching his followers to not be afraid or to have courage. In our current teaching series, Overcoming Your Fears, we will discover what the Bible says about fear and how to overcome it.

Faith Enough to Finish: Crossing the Finish Line!In January of 2007, our church embarked on a three year fund raising project to replace our broken and crumbling parking lot. We are a small church and the cost of replacing the parking lot was equal to our annual operating budget. We took a leap of faith and decided to raise enough money to replace one third of the parking lot each year for three years. We asked God to help us and teach us along the way - to grow our faith and learn through sacrifice. Each year we had a theme; Pursuit of Daily Dividends, How Big is Your God, and finally, Faith Enough to Finish. Listen to this message, our Victory Sunday, when we took one final offering to try and raise the remaining $4000 we needed for the final phase. I think you'll be amazed at how God blessed this tiny group of beleivers and proved without a doubt that He is God, and that through Him all things are possible.
Why Did Jesus Have To Die?You've probably heard the story of Jesus dying on the cross countless times. Even if you are not familiar with the story, you probably have seen a movie clip or a painting depicting the scene. And a lot of us know that Jesus died for our sins. But when we stop and think about it, we can easily get confused. Why death? Why a cross? Why Jesus? In this two part series, Pastor Jason Matters attempts to answer the question, Why Did Jesus Have To Die? This is not just a lot of knowledge building- when we think deeply about the death of Jesus Christ, it will deepen our faith and our love for God.
New Life | March 21, 2010 LO$TDo you ever get frustrated with your finances? Sometimes it seems like money is one of those necessary evils. I think most people are LO$T when it comes to money. Interestingly, though- we find in the Bible that Jesus talked a lot about money- how to spend it, save it, give it, earn it, etc. In this series, we look at what Jesus says to those who are LO$T and what he suggests to do differently.

Felt your faith was lacking? Listen to this message for encouragement.
The Messiah ChroniclesAs we prepare for Christmas, the Bible encourages us to find hope as we wait for the return of Christ. The people of Jesus’ day were waiting for a Messiah to rescue them and give them the peace, power, and prosperity they had always dreamed of. They waited for his appearing- his Advent. That Messiah was Jesus, born on Christmas Day. In this message series, “The Messiah Chronicles” we will look at how the Bible encourages with hope as we patiently wait for Jesus’ return- his second Advent.

Love WinsOn February 8, Pastor Jason shared the first message in this series. Inspiration for the series came from Rob Bell, pastor of the Mars Hill Bible Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this series, we are discovering that every time Jesus was hurt by those around him, he responded in love. Even though his enemies killed him, He won in the end by rising from the dead. “When someone does the worst possible evil against you (they kill you) and you survive, then you win!” Jesus won! Jesus’ way was to love. Therefore, LOVE WINS! In the coming weeks we will look at how the Bible teaches us to love God and others, and that love always wins!

Faith Enough to FinishHave you ever started strong, gone great for awhile and then not finished what you started? For instance a New Year's resolution, or a project around the house. In this series, Pastor Jason discusses how common this problem is and why we often fall short. God wants us to be successful and with his help we can have Faith Enough to Finish.
The Great Finish Line Obstacle - Part 2 of 3 | January 18, 2009 The Benefits of Perseverance - Part 3 of 3 | January 25, 2009 The Reason for My FaithHave you ever wondered, "how can I know this Bible is really God's truth or that Jesus really is the Son of God? How can I know that Jesus really is the way to heaven and not all the other religions? How do I know that God even exists? Does it make sense to be a follower of Jesus?" In this series, Jason demonstrates reason and faith are not opposites - and in fact that science, logic and reason suggest that faith makes more sense than the alternatives. Regardless of what you believe, you owe it to yourself to listen to these two messages.
The Reason for My Faith - Part 2 | September 28, 2008 Special Bible SeriesPastor Jason challenged everyone at New Vision Church to read through the entire Bible in 2008. He started with a message, Why read the Bible? the first Sunday in January. In February, he did a four part series entitled, Can I Trust My Bible? In September, when we were ready to start the New Testament, we were encouraged by, The Bible - God's Food for Hungry Souls. And on the first Sunday of 2009, he wrapped up the series with, Transformed by the Word. Lives were changed as people grew closer to God. We have compiled Jason's seven messages into this special Bible series.
